Making A Purchase

Shipping and Handling

All goods must be signed for upon delivery. The delivered items must be checked when received and any faults or carrier damage must be reported within 3 working days.
In the event that there is no one at the premises when the goods are delivered the couriers are under instructions not to leave the parcel. If the courier has been unable to deliver the goods you will be left a card stating the local depot’s address and telephone number. If you contact the depot, you can arrange another date for the delivery to be made – this must be to the same address. Alternatively you can arrange to pick the goods up from the depot, for which you will need some form of identification e.g. a driving licence.

Delivery Schedule

We endeavour to deliver your goods to you as fast as we can.

A large percentage of our orders are delivered in 1-2 working days but some goods can take longer if they are delivered direct from the manufacturer or if the item is made to order. Please see each product for further information.

Please give us a call if your order is urgent to verify the delivery time or see if a faster delivery is possible (additional costs may apply).

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

GST Charges

For orders made from the NZ, GST of 15% is added.

Credit Card Security

We use BNZ and DPS Payment Express to accept Visa or Mastercard payments. DPS Payment Express is the number one payment gateway in New Zealand so you can be sure your details are kept safe and secure. All payments are in New Zealand dollars. Wet Sounds New Zealand is a NZ owned business and the name Ohaus NZ will appear on your cardholder statements for any transactions made through this website.

Money Back Guarantee

If you change your mind about your purchase, we will be more than happy to offer you an exchange, voucher or refund as long as:

  • You return the product within 28 days of purchase
  • You provide proof of purchase
  • You originally purchased the product with the intention of keeping
  • The item is unused and in it’s original packaging

Refund

We can only issue a refund or voucher by request when the item is unused and in its original packaging.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by Wet Sounds New Zealand. In the event that goods sold are deficient or are faulty, the retailer has the right to repair, replace or refund.

Fair Trading Act 1986

The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Guarantee

All of our products come with a full one year return to base warranty. If you do have a problem with the equipment, please contact us and we supply any technical assistace needed or the information needed for return of the equipment for warranty repair. The warranty commmences upon the delivery date. Warranty only applies to defects in materials and/or workmanship which occur during normal and proper use. Warranty does not apply to products that are damaged due to misuse, alteration or modification.

Faulty Product

Where a product is faulty or damaged due to manufacturing faults we will at our discretion, either:

  • repair the product; or
  • replace the product; or
  • give you a full refund.

Returning Items

We do not pay for shipping costs of returning items to our warehouse.

How to make a Warranty Claim

If you wish to return your product or require a replacement then the FASTEST way is to contact us via phone or email.

Privacy Policy

OHAUS NZ do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ Option. Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Issue a unique identifier (e.g. customer login)
d. Monitor customer account status beyond that required for individual purchases
e. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

Remittance Term

All goods remain the property of Accurate Weighing Ltd until full payment is received. For account customers payment is strictly 30 days from date of invoice.
